Getting and Sharing Information

To support the flow of information at Trillium we’ve created a weekly email from the school called Trillium News. In the summer months Trillium News is published monthly.

To support communication about stuff for sale, parenting tips, community discussion, and where to buy great art supplies, we’ve created the Trillium Info Exchange,

Trillium will also have an Information Board in the lobby with copies of the newsletter and events announcements.

Here are the details:

To address the need for timely, accurate information updates from the school:

Trillium News

is a once a week e-newsletter which provides families with school-related calendar notices and school-related information updates. During the summer Trillium News is published once a month. All Trillium families are automatically subscribed but may unsubscribe at any time.  To have your content included in the newsletter after the school year starts, email it to: email hidden; JavaScript is required

Content guidelines for Trillium News:

- Calendar announcements (events, school holidays, school meetings)
- Classroom notices to support take home information
- Volunteer Requests (school equipment requests)
- Community Event notices

Trillium News will be published every Friday beginning 9/1 via email with a limited paper run. Submission deadline is Wednesdays at 5pm via email to email hidden; JavaScript is required.

To provide an online communication network for information sharing we have created the online Trillium Info Exchange.

Trillium Info Exchange

is a google group, and all Trillium families are automatically subscribed. However, families will only receive emails from Trillium Info Exchange when the email settings are made. Click here to see the group.  You must log in to change your email settings.  You may have to create an account to do this;any email will work. Trillium Info Exchange emails can be set to none, immediate, or daily digest.

Trillium Info Exchange guidelines:

This group is a place where anything goes as long as posts are respectful.  Discussions are welcome.  Acceptable posts include but are not limited to, buying and selling, news articles, requests for volunteers, carpooling groups, lost and found, moderate (no spam) business solicitations, etc.  This group is moderated by a community member who will use these guidelines to prevent rude, impolite, and harmful posts.

Information Board

To ensure that information is always available in paper form, an Information Board will be in the front lobby of the school.

The Information Board is the place where families can fine a printed version of Trillium News as well as other information about community and school. Guidelines for posting on the Information board will be posted on the board.
