Trillium Aftercare provides parents and guardians with a safe, comfortable and engaging space for their children after school. Aftercare is an environment where we integrate our schools mission as well as the same model of conflict resolution: Trillium Charter School is a public school that nurtures each child’s inherent curiosity, creativity and connection to community. We support diverse learning styles and use democratic processes to help students grow fully as human beings and contribute to and enhance the world. Our vision of Aftercare is to create a space where children are able to play, have a voice, and continue explorations they are conducting in their regular classrooms while also providing facilitation, encouragement and materials to investigate further areas of interest. Activities will be created around the child’s interests, the rhythms of our calendar year and Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences (linguistic, logic-mathematical, musical, spatial, bodily kinesthetic, naturalist, interpersonal and intrapersonal). We will use play to create relationships, value diversities and learn how to be better people.

We provide care Monday thru Friday from 3:00-6:00 for children K-6th grade
. On Fridays, we also provide care for kindergarten – 6th graders from early release until 6:00. Trillium recognizes the need for care on weekdays when the school is closed, and beginning the first of the year, Trillium Aftercare will be open most such days when school is not in session and during the second week of Spring Break (March 29- April 2). All information and forms needed to enroll your child in our program are available here.
